This Egg and Soldiers Breakfast Set by Takae Mizutani and Sons is just one of the products in Takae’s imaginative collection that make me smile. Established in London in 2007, Takae’s creations are there to remind you of nostalgic childhood memories and childlike naivety. This particular design was created as a result of Takae believing that soldiers deserved to stand at the table as much as their boiled egg counterpart. Made out of eathernware clay in Cornwall, the noble ceramic horse is no better place for toasted soldiers to sit, whether made out of bread or in my case sponge cake!
