My very good filmy friend Mary Kearns sent me this teeny-tiny ‘Dot Film’ created by Sumo Science at Aardman. It’s inspiration stemmed from Professor Fletcher’s invention of the CellScope, which is a Nokia device with a microscope attachment. ‘Dot’ is the 9mm star of the film. Her struggles through the microscopic world reminded both myself and Mary of the tiny toll in Edward Ardizones illustrated book ‘The Little Girl and the Tiny doll’. A childhood favorite of both of ours.
