My Marmalade Breakfast Bagels are flavoured and glazed with marmalade. Marmalade is made by boiling sugar and water with orange juice and peel. Bagels are also boiled in sugar and water before baking, resulting in their chewy interior and shiny surface. So combining both together and preserving the sweet sticky citrus taste of marmalade in a bagel seemed to me like breakfast baking sense.
