My Marmalade Cat Pancake coincides with the Marmalade Awards celebrated this weekend and preparation for Pancake day next week. By combining some orange zest and marmalade together with my basic pancake batter I spooned a cat shaped pancake into the frying pan and flipped over a feline, so to speak. Served with orange and sugar rather than the traditional lemon it was curiously good. The marmalade coloured markings made by the frying also made for a pancake even Orlando would be proud of!
