The Giant Jam Sandwich by John Vernon Lord and Janet Burroway and Bread and Jam for Frances by Russell Hoban were two of my favourite books as a child. Not surprising then that I should grow up to bake a cake based around both titles. Bread and Jam also happens to be one of my nicknames!
