Two Turtle Doves, a memoir of making things by Alex Moroe is set to be as magical a keepsake as the jewellery designers cast creations. Although not due to be published till March by Bloomsbury, I am already eagerly anticipating it’s release. The very heart of the book is as the title reads all about making things, something central to my own heart. But like with every invention it is the idea and process leading to the finished piece that can be as precious as the product itself. It is this Alex will be illustrating as he explores his own inspirations and compulsion to create. From growing up in the Suffolk countryside to having his jewellery sold across the world, this collection of memories will be as unforgettable as the collections sold. In two months Two Turtle Doves will be sure to fly off the shelves and into the hands and heart of those who have a desire to make things. My hand is without question firmly up in the air.
