My Jacket Potato roll came about through me marbling the excess white and wholemeal dough I had left over after creating my Nautical Knot bread together into a bread roll shape and scoring it’s top. Although I do adopt this same technique when preparing a baked potato, it was baking serendipity that my bread roll would emerge from the oven looking almost identical to the much loved baked spud. But when it did I couldn’t resist fully embracing it’s new persona and filling the roll with butter and grated cheese in the same fashion I would a potato and placing it on a bed of mixed salad. Get your jacket, I’ve pulled off a potato bread roll!
