My Marmalade Porridge was inspired by the fact Marmalade Week was celebrated last week and the Marmalade Cat Flapjacks in my book Quinntessential Baking. Paddington Bear and Orlando the Marmalade Cat had a thing or two to do with the paw print motif, which can be scaled up or down according to your marmalade preference. Oats and Marmalade make for an unexpected yet tasty pairing whether enjoyed within a flapjack or bowl of creamy porridge. In fact once empty and clean marmalade jars also double up as the perfect flapjack and porridge portable pot. In the case of the latter a hand warmer too!
