This Furniture Pan was designed by Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira and created to offer an alternative way of experiencing furniture. The inspiration for the project came about through a reaction to the velocity of today’s furniture industry and how consumers are unable to digest the huge amount of new products being pushed to the market every year. The batter used to create the furniture is a mix of the traditional Japanese small cakes “baby castellan” and a Portuguese egg based pastry “ovos moles”.  The tool allows for a variety of recipes and batters to be used and as a result different pieces and flavours of furniture can be created and decorated according to yours, friends and families tastes. Forget flat pack furniture the baking futures all about not so flat pack pancakes with comfort….food.
