National Baking Week ends today and while at St Pancras International Station last week I had the opportunity to admire the amazing giant cake created for it. By giant I mean 7ft and not just any cake either but an incredible and edible baked London tube map! Landmarks such as Big Ben, Marble Arch and the London Eye, again made out of cakes and biscuit, were placed on to the map and intersected with cleverly re-christened baking pun stations. Bethnal Cream, Victoria Sponge and Swiss Roll Cottage were all linked together with the multi coloured tube lines depicted using sweets. All that was missing were Gingerbread men commuters carrying their biscuit oyster cards!
